I never used a secondary so, I want to try to see whether it'll make a difference in the end. I've had the beer going in the primary for about 3 weeks now (a pumpkin ale). I don't know whether the gravity has stabilized but, given that its been 3 weeks, I suspect that it has; the OG was 1.072 and I have it down to a 1.015. Is it ok to transfer it into the secondary?

I have done a couple where I had good fermentation, waited about 3 weeks and took one reading. It was low like yours so I made the assumption that it was finished. One went to secondary and the other straight to bottles. I had no problems with them.
