Does a 120 V STC-1000 temp controller need an external relay for cooling? Heating with a light bulb so no problem there.

Operating instructions give specs for relay contact capacity of 10A/250VAC so that must mean relays are built it. Think contact capacity would be 20A/125VAC, correct?

Small 4.3 CF Sanyo fridge lists a current draw of .9 A which seems really low for a compressor. Guess compressor should draw at least 20 A so external 30 amp relay may be needed.

What has been your experience with this controller and current draw for small compressors?

The relays on stc-1000 is 10 amp(voltage is more of an insulation issue)
If the fridge is 1100W or less that should keep you below 10A
