Does anyone have an estimate for the gravity points per gallon per pound that fresh or frozen raspberries would contribute? Trying to come up with an estimate as I am planning a raspberry ale and want to have some feel for the OG/FG and ABV. Thanks in advance!

This is the most helpful article I have read on the contributions of fruit to ABV. Bottom line, you are adding not just sugar but also volume and water when you add fruit. Depending on the ABV of the beer you may be slightly increasing or slightly decreasing the ABV. With juice it's easy to measure the Brix if you want to do the actual calculations, not sure how you would go about measuring the brix of whole fruit.

Thanks, that is helpful. Based on on the article, sounds like I won't be gaining or losing SG points with the beer I am planning. Thanks for the link!

I found this list too. I will say the apple juices and fresh squeezed watermelon juice I have measured in the past are usually in the 13-14 range, looks like a lot of other fruits in that range too including raspberries. So yeah, for average gravity beers in the 1.050's probably not changing much and you can just ignore the contribution.
