So I had some leftover supplies and whipped up a really basic all-grain pale ale... basically just some 2-row and 2oz of left over hops that I FWH to get as much out of them as possible.

Obviously not a complex beer at all. OG was 1072... hoping to hit around 1010 on it.

The problem... I just blew my commercial keg last night! LOL. So I have a quandary. I could get one last commercial keg and run through that... but that'll be about a month, and I'd rather be drinking my home brew.

The other option would be to keg and force carb the pale ale 2 weeks from now (so 3 weeks total in the primary) and start drinking it. I'd just buy some micro-brew in bottles or cans in the mean time to get me through.

What do y'all think? For such a basic brew, would 3 weeks in the ol' bucket be fine or should I suck it up, get another commercial keg, and wait?

I do have a much nicer IIPA in the second primary at the moment that will be given the full 6 week (at least) treatment... so it's not like I don't have something really good (hopefully) coming down the pike. And I'm working on establishing the ol' homebrew pipeline so I don't run into this issue again!

    Thanks for the input!

Get another keg, a 5 or 6 gallon if you can. Keg your pale in in 2 weeks then set it and forget it for another 2 weeks and you'll be done with your purchased keg. And your Pale will be great.

What Bend said. You could do it in 3 but it will be pretty green.
