A 5gal - 1/6 bbl keg came in and i'm stumped as to what i should do with it. I'm set for corny's, it's way too small for a brew vessel, does anyone have any suggestions?

The only thing i can think of is to make it into a firebox for a BBQ smoker.... (my brother's hobby)

I have one also that I'm not sure what to do with. Although, I would trade for a 1/2 barrel or a ball lock cornie.

Sell it to someone that wants it, then buy something you want

Sell it I know they go for around $80.00 and there a few who use them instead of cornies.

Get a sanke coupler and serve out of it...

Or trade / sell it to someone that has realized they work better than corny kegs...cheers!

My brew club is doing a group buy at some point for a hundred 1/6th sanke kegs, even buying in bulk like that they still cost a lot. If I had one, I'd use it as a keg.

My first reflex was to use it for another still in case you want to make something besides corny's, or else sell it to someone who needs it for his/her still.

Pull the spear and use for long term aging with a triclamp fitting?

Use it as a no chill brewing vessel.

I do this with a tall 1/4 barrel. I'd happily have a sixtl to do the same. does put a hard limit on batch size which my 1/4 barrel fermentor does not do.
