I came home from work today to find one of my activator packs expanded in the fridge. I have no plans of brewing for at least a week. Ive used these ass loads of times and this never happened. If i leave it in the fridge how long is it good for? I searched for this answer but only found threads about how to make starters.

It'll be fine. It will certainly start slower being chilled for a week. But chilling yeast is not an issue when it comes to preserving for a only a week or two.

I'd advise making a starter 3-4 days ahead of your brew date to cut down on lag time.
