I am interested in building a Randall, I have found the filter housing, but I am having trouble understanding/finding the correct MPT/MFL fittings for it.

I am interested in QD's for the actual fittings such as 1/4"MPT to MFL-QD,(cam-locks?) is there any such thing?

If not, the Maltose Falcons Website is vague, it says to use MPT/MFL fittings, but has no mention of the barbs. So, I assume I need two 1/4" swivel nut barbs as well, correct?

I'm looking for a complete parts list, I have 4 Sanke diptubes, so the tube is of no concern, (interested in trading some parts :)) but the fittings are.

Please post your Randall build and parts list.

I haven't made one yet, but I did put together a parts list for one. I'll dig it up and post it when I get home tonight.

Here's a write up on mine. Pretty simple, and I mainly just used parts I found at Farm and Barn.

    http://dcsanders.com/?p=57

The filter housing I settled on had 3/4 inch threads, so I used 3/4 to 1/2 inch fittings, then a 1/2 to 1/4 inch flare, since they ddn't have 3/4 to 1/4 inch flare fittings. No big deal. If anything, it will make it easier to use QD's, since most of the other stuff I use has 1/2 inch threads.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking of making a mini-randall with a 5" filter housing, but I can't find one with a pressure relief button cap.

Head over to 1702 and ask how Austin has his setup. I think I saw some ball locks on it.

I met someone related to Austin's partner, I think it was his partner's niece, anyway thanks!
