    I ran this manually the first two years I had it. Finally finished the Asco valves and electric control box this past weekend.

    I used a funky 20 amp plug for the thermocouple connection - I do not have any plugs of this type around my house, but probably not ideal.

    Just out of curiosity... why not mount it to the stand instead of a box?

    You put a lot of work into your box... it's nice. Just wanted to know why you would choose not to mount it. Fair question.

    Nice setup! I betcha you're glad you upgraded... Makes the brew day that much easier. I'd like to hear/see more about it, particularly the inside of that box. Sorry to see your thread getting trolled right off the bat!

    Lost track of my thread - didn't mount the controls b/c I wasn't sure I would ever automate it. Also, was concerned b/c in the original design the wires were all exposed in the back. I brew with my 3 year old son and like him non-electrocuted....
