Ok i just got an aluminum 30qt pot did the whole 60min boil to "passify "the metal. My question is this. Where the water boiled the metal is considerably darker/blackened, is this normal? do i now just brew with it?

Yup you are good to go. Don't scrub it off. Next time you brew just use a rag when you wash it. No brushes or scrubbies!!!
