My buddy and I have spent far too much time over the cold winter months building a 240 volt five gallon Brutus 20 build. It incorporates a 5500 watt Camco element, single March 809 pump, far too many Bargain Fittings camlocks, a shell and tube heat exchanger, a bunch of electrical stuff I don't understand and an Auber 2451 PID with RTD sensor. This afternoon was its maiden voyage, and strangely everything went off without a hitch. We made a kit left over from last fall, an AHS Anniversary Blonde Rye. Heating times were really really fast. We heated to mash temps in less than twenty minutes, and from a mash out temp of 170 to boiling in around fifteen. Cooling was equally impressive, dropping from boiling to 140 in three minutes, and to 65 in roughly twenty. Efficiency was a very respectable 75%. Here it is in all its glory, with one of the inside of the control panel, which thankfully I didn't wire (my buddy is an electrician)

I have to say thanks to all of you here who provide such great information.
