Hi I'm new here and to brewing. I was wondering about my oktoberfest. Should I lager it then transfer to secondary or transfer then lager?

    Rack to secondary, then lager.

Yes, ferment in primary at around 50F until you're about 80% of the way to your FG (1020-ish). For me, that's usually around 10 - 14 days. Then a 3 day D-rest (if you need it) at 65F. Then rack to secondary and drop your temp a couple of degrees per day until you reach 36-38F and leave it there for 4 - 6 weeks at least before you bottle. Some people use a little bit of extra yeast when they bottle but many do not. Prime it and it will still carb up OK.
