    Hi All,

When using the element to maintain temp with recirc (cycling on/off as needed), is it OK for the Grain bag (full of grain) to sit on the element?

    Will it melt or scorch?

    Thanks

Not enough info. What type of bag, what element wattage, wattage density, recirculation, what batch size?

In general you want to avoid this, employ some sort of recirculation in order to get a consistent temperature throughout the mash.

Short answer NO, long answer I believe some have limited success, then some of them incorporate a basket or FB.
    YMMV, see short answer above.

I reheat for the mash with wilser bag. The bag is not directly on the element but just under the kettle (stove). No problem theses bags are good quality.
