Obnoxious Football Trash Talk Thread

I'm with Darwin on this one. It is 100% up to the coaching staff. The first time it happens, it is on the player. The second time it happens, it may still be on the player but now the coach needs to step in. The third time it happens it is all on the coach.

The coaching staff should have sat him and calmed him down. Eli should have said something to him too. It isn't all on the coach. Obviously the player needs to stop being an idiot but if he is, the coach needs to sit him.

Though I don't blame OBJ for what he did. Panthers players coming over to him during pre-game with a bat and calling him gay and racial slurs. That is not called for at all. OBJ deserves the suspension but someone on the Panthers needs to get a fine or suspension too.

HOWEVER; their objective was to get in his head. Did he actually think one of the Panthers was going to hit him with the bat? Is Jeff Gillooly now on their practice squad?

They called him some mean names and were a little menacing toward him, and OBJ lost his ****. And now he's going to have to deal with that, until he proves he can handle it. Every cornerback he goes against is going to call him a little f-word or a q-word or c-word-s-word.

Because it's getting into his head, it's getting him off his game, and the next time he does something stupid - the refs are going to be watching and ready to toss him. Like a salad.

Geno getting clocked was the best thing that's possibly ever happened to this franchise. Geno was exposed as a sad human being and is expendable with how great Fitz has played. I expect Geno will end up on the Eagles next year with Chip's obsession of collecting burnt out Jets QBs. Seriously though, a 9-5 Jets team is way beyond what I expected at the start of the season. They'll get screwed over and miss out on the playoffs but they haven't been the same old shameful Jets I'm used to seeing.

 

Good news for the Jets. The Dolphins won't be dashing their playoff hopes this year.

 

I told you MONTHS ago that Geno getting knocked out was the best thing that could happen to the franchise - that for much of the time, Fitz wasn't half-bad. He's still going to throw up a couple of massive ****storms at the worst possible times, and will end up getting ridden out of town on a rail, but that's just what you ****ers do.

The lesson, though, is that I'm a smaht muthar****ah.
