    its a kit from my lhbs its a red ale and ive also got a bavarian hefe fermenting now

    Ah, yes. That "hissss" of the very first bottle of your very first batch...that you DIDN'T waste any patience on at all...and it STILL tasted good!

    I'm going to open my first one this weekend. It's just a Coopers extract kit, but it's beer and I didnt have to carry it home from the store, and I wont have to carry the empties back to get my container deposit back. :)

    In hindsight, I'm glad I bottled my first batch in Grolsch bottles--I did it just to avoid capping (which turns out not to be a big deal), but what a satisfying pop! that was.

    Congrats! You're a brewer!
