First time brewing cider. Used two gallons of cider, three gallons of Apple juice, a can of Apple juice concentrate, some brown sugar and some White labs yeast directly to the carboy. Only a few bubbles after two weeks. What to do?

The first answer for this is always the same - don't go by bubbles, check a gravity. IME ciders don't create much of a krausen either. If you confirm with a hydrometer that it really hasn't fermented my next thought would be do wonder if you might have used juice with preservatives.

Thanks. The recipe calls for me to pour into another carboy this weekend and ferment another three weeks. I'll check it then. No preservatives in the juice or cider though. Maybe in the concentrate.
