Anyone know of any place selling fermentation buckets for a reasonable price with shipping? my LHBS is out. I have 2 BSG buckets with grommeted lids and gasket on lid. I only need 1 but cant find any under 25 bucks shipped.

Your profile doesn't indicate where you are, so finding an online supplier with low shipping might be hard. Have you asked your LHBS shop if they have a 6 gal Fermonster or other type of PET fermenter? These are really great and are typically in the $25-30 price range, sometimes better with a discount. Here's one from Labelpeelers. Once you start using them, you might not want to go back to buckets. Ed

Ouch! I can understand why you didn't. How about your LBHS? Do they have any alternatives? Ed

I believe it was on this site where someone recommended contacting a bakery. I go to my local grocery store and the will save me assorted size pails that their frosting comes in. Just drill a hole for the grommet in the lid.
I just use them for grain storage. If you have the cash the above mentioned fermonster is great.

Another option, as pointed out by @jdr01, you can go to the big blue box store. They have 5 gal food safe buckets for ~$5.00 + $2 for a gasketed lid. drill the lid and add a grommet. If you're doing 5 gal batches (usually ~ 6 into the fermenter,) you may want to buy two and split the batch to avoid blowouts. It all depends on how quickly you need it/them. Good luck whatever you decide to do! Ed
