Convinced SWMBO that I needed a small bar to store my brew stuff and my own fridge for beer. So my shopping began. Started by looking at fridges. Found an Igloo FR464 at a sweet price of 89.99 shipped to my door, then picked up a pinlock keg from keg connection and started pondering my mini bar. Decided I was going to put a cabinet next to the fridge an build a frame around the fridge to bring the height up the same as the cabinet and then put a small piece of counter top on it. Will post more pics as it goes. Nothing spectacular but it will work for what I need/want right. Plan is to build a tower and run it through the counter into the fridge.

Counter top is just sitting there for now. I'll hopefully have time to build the frame around the fridge this weekend.

If you haven't already I suggest you checkout the big thread on converting that fridge in the kegging forum. May save you from bricking it, looks great so far. Good luck!

Had some time to build the framework for the bar. It's all 3/4" oak plywood. I'm not sure what color to stain it yet so it will stay bare for a while. As for a tower, since my background and profession is custom fabrication and design work, I'll be custom building my tower. I'm going to build a doublewall tower. I plan to use a piece of 4" aluminum with 2.5" tube on the inside and fill the gap with spray foam, and the base will be waterjetted out of a piece of 1" aluminum. Then everything will be welded together on the inside to hide the welds and then either polished of powdercoated.
