I have a chest freezer that I had been using with a johnson controls a419, not the digital kind of temp controller.

I am wanting to use this freezer to ferment in but I will need to heat it to keep within my acceptable range. Is this possible with this type of controller? I have heard of moving jumpers but I believe that is with the digital version.

    Thanks.

Well I think i'm screwed. From what I gathered this is a cooling only device. Should have thought more into it I guess. Still wouldn't mind a confirmation from someone.

    Cheers

You got this one right? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002EAL58/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

    Says right in the description:
You could add something like this to your rig and just keep the temperature controller on the freezer:

Im really just wanting a light bulb to turn on when the temps dip below 62. I think I just need to invest in a different temp control.

yep if you want both controlled by the controller you'll need the digital where you can tell it to switch modes (the jumpers you mentioned). You should be able to find someone on here to buy this one to help fund your digital controller. Cheers
