So I was brewing some NB Holiday Red and everything was going great until my wort chiller broke just as I was about to cool my wort. My LHBS doesnt carry them and I got nothing. So, my wort is in the fridge and still rocking 90 degrees and my smake pack was popped at 8am this morning and still sitting on my dinning room table. Oh yeah, and its my birthday and off work today. Awesome right. Anybody see any issues with the yeast at this point, or should I ditch it and get some new stuff when the wort hits the magic number?

Your yeast will be fine. As long as you didn't open the package.

    How did your chiller break?

Second for it will be fine. I used to smack my pack the night before when I used 'em

Sounds like another candidate for the "First World Problems" thread.

You're AOK. You could wait until tomorrow to pitch if you want as long as you haven't already opened the pack.

I made my own out of a cooler and copper pipe thatvI run wort through. The valve at the the bottem sprung a small leak just as my cold ise water started running out. So I shut the valaves and poured the wort into my primary tank. I couldn't use my keg tub cause that had a hole in it as well.

Update - sitting here listening to the sweet sound of fermentation so thanks again for the advice. Also, wort chiller was clogged not broke. I must have gotten some orange peel stuck in the valve and when I was opening and closing a small amount of wort was dripping out that I mistook for water.
