    Hey gang,

I am finally starting on my "fermoire" build. I have gutted my current armoire and am beginning to tear apart a mini fridge. Here's my issue.

I purchased a Johnson Controls temp controller, but I am very much aware that the fridge I have already contains a loosely controllable knob thermostat. As I know nothing about electrical wiring and have no desire to remove the included thermostat, (other than aesthetics) is there any problem to keeping the included thermostat if I keep it on high? This is actually a serving cabinet, not really a fermentation cabinet so the temperature will be lower.

Thanks. Once I get some more accomplished, I'll start posting pics.

I don't see why it would be a problem. That's the exact thing i did with my chest freezer being run by a ranco thermostat. I turned it all the way up and the ranco does the rest.
