Knox gelatin is really cheap at most stores. I cant see paying the premium from homebrew shops for the gelatin. Knox works great. Just get the plain gelatin, no flavors.

quote has come back and I am incline to change which company we get the caramel 20 from, right now we are using Best and I think we would save a little money by going with Bairds. We will save .04 per pound. It doesn't sound like much but why not save a little money.

I am happy to say that the price of the sack of grain went down by as much as $1.60 a sack:ban: I am surprised by this in that we just ordered like 2 weeks ago:rockin:

The second company that I sent the spread sheet out to is going to check with Brewers Supply Group to see if they can beat NCM's prices. I will not know that until Monday late afternoon. I will hold off on getting each of you your totals until we see if he can beat NCM's prices.

I use the knox now I seen the gelatin they have and its a heck of a lot cheaper than even getting the knox packs. If its a no go that's fine I can always get it at the grocery store if need be.

Actually i'd be interested in the gelatin as well. A one pound package will do over 300 6 gallon batches. If they can fit a pound on, i'd be willing to split it if necessary, that's still nearly a lifetimes supply.

I will double check with the folks at NCM to see if they will sell any of that to us. I don't believe they will, but it won't hurt to check.

Gelatin isn't available, but Belgian Candi Syrup is. If you would like some the price is 4.95 and it ships for free. They only have Amber and Dark 2.

Hate to sound like a broken record here, but a spot has opened up in my pipeline and I can't brew again until I get a grain mill...

It is 4.95 a pouch, which is 1lb. No minimum. They don't have any at the Hickory location, which is where our grain ships from, so she is drop shipping them to us at no charge. I wanted the clear and the Dark, but they only have the Dark 2 and the Amber. I am going to do 3 Amber and maybe a couple of Dark 2 pouches.

That is a tremendous amount of split grains. Be sure to make arrangements to have a good accurate scale and a lot of containers, and willing people.:mug:

I am only supposed to have 1/5 bag of C-120...you have me at 1/4? Typo or do we only have 4 people splitting that? After looking at the list I only see 3/4 of a bag of the 120 accounted for?

Other than that, I am cool with my list. And if that is the case, I can take 1/4 of the 120, just making sure someones 120 wasnt left off...

The other 1/4 of C-120 is mine. I didn't list any of my stuff, didn't feel like typing it all out:cross:

If anybody else wants in on the c-120 I will gladly split the bag 5 ways instead of 4.

Whatever works out, I just wanted to be sure there wasnt anyone left off. If someone wants some 120 I am cool with that, if not, then I'll take the 1/4

    I am easy like that

1/5 C-120, right now it is a split 4 ways but it sounds like maybe a 5 way split would work best. If you don't want the c-40 I will put it on csuho's tab. :rockin:
