Metal storage cabinet for ferm chamber

I did some searching and did not find anything, so if this was covered already, please point me to it.
Would like to build a Ferm chamber that can fit 2 plastic 15 gallon conicals in it. They would each have their own stand and sit high enough off the ground to get a corney under them, so I need the chamber to be pretty tall. I was originally going to build one out of wood with 2 doors in the front. I found a metal storage cabinet on Craigslist for $100 that is about the dimensions I need, is there any reason why I can't just insulate that and save me the trouble of building the cabinet myself?

You can insulate anything and make it a fermentation chamber, as long as the dimensions are adequate. Plenty of people on this board that have turned console TVs, old amoires, and even old console radios into fermentation chambers!

The insulation will be key. Metal transfers/conducts heat/cold pretty easily, so the inside of this thing need to be well insulated!

Another thing to be concerned about would be rusting from condensation. Even if it is painted it only takes a small pinhole in the paint for the cancer to spread.

 

Thanks for the replies, and yeah, the depth of it was going to be close to begin with, and adding at least an inch on all sides of insulation will make it too tight. I also had thought a little about all the moisture in there and possible rusting issues, so I think I will pass on them.
