    Looks great! One suggestion would be to add about a 3 ft. border of engineered hardwood to match the woodwork
    around the bar so there is a nice stable platform for the bar stools to sit on. I would think the carpet around that area
    will get thrashed over time with spills.

    ALL the walls were insulated (interior and exterior). Which I thought was a good idea at first, thinking the winter will be warmer in a cold basement. However, it definitely gets hot down there in the summer months too now. So it is a catch22. At least the heating bill won't be so high in the winter. And a couple fans down there help a lot with the heat in the summer.
