Has anyone attempted or considered using a plug in leaf blower for an exhaust fan? Saw at the Home Depot I can get a 390 cfm leaf blower with speed control for $50.

Downside I guess would be louder than average blowers due to their compact size and high rpm motors. Also not sure how well they'd hold up to running continously for an hour moving steam. But for $50 it may be worth a shot.

I would think it would be louder than you'd want to use for an hour. Wouldn't a box fan get the same results? That's what I use to keep steam moving.

Yeah totally overkill and waay too loud... You would need earplugs or you would have hearing damage after one 4 hr brew session.

I use a regular dual 12" window fan and it removes all of the steam fine..

I found an under the counter range hood on sale instead. 350cfm, 3 speeds. Was looking to move at least 300cfm as my brew stand is in my basement utility room with no windows.
