Hey all,

I'm building yet another keezer collar project but I have a specific question that I need help with.

I want the CO2 tank to sit outside the keezer and run through the backside of the collar. I want to do this with some sort of bulkhead fitting that will allow for a valve on the inside (so if I need remove the tank I can keep pressure in the system) and also allow for a 3/4" flared fitting on the backside for easy removal/refilling/etc of the CO2 tank.

I want something very neat to do this, something that doesn't stick out very far and can allow for a 90° elbow so the gas tube can run alongside the keezer itself.

I'm looking at threaded pipe, I'm looking at PVC (not sure what kind of pressure this can take but I'm sure it can handle 30 psi or so), I've been been looking at industrial solutions but none of them seem capable of penetrating the 2 inches of collar I'll be going through.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

What you want is one of the bulkhead shanks listed here:

I use that with mine, as you see below:

HAH - you da man.

I like the idea of using the existing threaded fittings and not needing a ton of adapters with brass threaded pipe or something like that.

Ordered. Thanks. :)

fwiw, here's how I have a nitro and two CO2 lines entering my keezer...

Cheers!

Wow - I really like that idea! What's even better is I've been trying to figure out how to attach ball-lock posts to the end of a hose for cleaning multiple beer lines at once - I'm going to have to grab a couple of these cornelius keg posts!

Thanks guys!

Well, thanks to @day_trippr I've now given Chi Company a solid $200 or so, buying all kinds of crap I probably didn't need. :)

Seriously though they have EVERYTHING! I started buying items just because I thought it might be a good idea to have them on hand!

@day_trippr Wondering if you could help me putting together the items for how you setup this bulkhead with the ball lock disconnects. It'd have the ball lock QD outside the fridge, and a hose barb on the inside. Does this look correct?

The Bulkhead - https://www.chicompany.net/common-i...76_17_46_425&zenid=e5kcav9egt945q53ervd4gek27

Swivel Nuts - https://www.chicompany.net/beer-sto...set-1-4-flare-nut-x-1-4-barb?cPath=19_220_286

Nylon Flare Washers - https://www.chicompany.net/common-i...gs/flare-fittings/nylon-flare-fitting-washers

Then, somehow you get a ball lock keg post onto the mfl threads of the bulkhead on the outside of the fridge, which I'm not entirely sure how to do. I'm having a hard time finding the exact parts. Would it involves these parts?

@day_trippr[...]Does this look correct?[...]

Yup, you have all the bits listed correctly - the key is to match the post threads to the adapter threads, and in your case you have a good match.
Just make sure the bulkhead length is suitable for your installation (fwiw, on my fridges I did use that same long bulkhead, while on my keezer lid I used the shortest version)...

Cheers!
