Just want a simple beer fridge...

    I know there are a thousand threads out there - I don't need taps and all. Just want to understand the basics of taking a mini fridge and de-commissioning the freezer part and maybe slicing off the door shelves to be able to fit a 5 gal. corny and co2 tank.

    I guess I'm not overly sophisticated but I can manage to open the door to pour a beer.

    Can somebody direct me to a good thread for this??

    Do you have specific fridge in mind? The freezer parts vary between models. Usually you don't want to "decommission" the freezer, that's how it cools the fridge portion.

    My Wife bought me an 11.0 cf Danby for my yeast and beer. No freezer. Internal fan for circulation. Can barely hear it running.

    You came to the wrong place for simple my friend!

    You can find used fridges really cheap on CL. Get a tank, regulator, and party tap. BAM!!
