Setting up my kettle and burner to brew an English Pale Ale, as Irene is setting up shop of her own kind.

Anyone else brewing in the hurricane?

    It's early evening
    The rains coming down
    Last week was quaking
    And pretty loud
    My burner is lighting
    And singes my skin
    So what is wrong
    With another sin
    The bitch is thirsty
    She needs to tell
    So give her bottles
    And feed her well
    More days to come
    New places to go
    I've got to brew
    It's time for a beer

Here I am, brewing in a hurricane
Here I am, brewing in a hurricane

    My water is boiling
    It starts to bubble over
    The winds are coming
    It breaks out loud
    Hops are in bags
    Till storm breaks loose
    Just have to brew it
    With a recipe I choose
    The refrigerator is calling
    I have to go
    The wolf is thirsty
    He runs the show
    He's licking his lips
    He's ready to win
    On the hunt tonight
    For a good quality homebrew

Here I am, brewing in a Hurricane
Here I am, brewing in a Hurricane
Here I am, brewing in a Hurricane
Here I am, brewing in a Hurricane

I'm also brewing a stout in a hurricane. What else is there to do when it's raining? It's 8:18pm right now...

Did an IPA last night in anticipation of the hurricane; it came out more like a strong wind & rain IPA. No complaints Irine was less strong than expected.

I bottled my Irene Pale Ale yesterday... too bad it's not an IPA (just an APA).

That line is kind of interesting considering there was an earthquake prior to a hurricane :drunk:

Yup, I brewed a double chocolate oatmeal stout yesterday during the rain. Why not?

While I was brewing, there was a steady downpour, but not much wind. As I finished, the heavy rain started and winds picked up. Lost power overnight and all we are hearing is, expect an extended outage with no ETA. Call back tomorrow for update. Luckily there is no water in the basement and my EPA is fermenting like crazy right now.

Hope everyone in the Hurriquake affected area is safe and sound.
