Is my starter infected?

    I made starter of Saison Farmahouse INIS291 and after some 20 hrs i am seeing 2 to 5 of these floaties. Some sink if the starter is slightly moved. Is this a contamination? I am thinking its just part of the yeast cake from the original container. Love to hear some thoughts.

    It may just be the yeast starting to flocculate. I don't know anything about the strain you mention, but 18 hours is about the time I see yeast starting to flocculate in most of the strains I use. I doubt it's anything to worry about unless you are smelling any sourness from the starter?
