    Hey Guys,

Going to try using Irish Moss for the first time on a batch of extract Altbier I'm going to make this weekend. I was wondering:

The amounts to add that I've found online all pertain to a 5 gallon batch. I intend to make a 5 gallon batch, but my boil will only be 3.5 gallons or so. Then I'll top off with water.

Do I still add the same amount that you'd add for a 5 gallon boil? Or do I scale that back? Or does it not matter?

    Thanks,

    Joe

Just use what it says on the bottle. Won't hurt.

Your batch will be 5 gallons in the end, right?

Then you should use enough for 5 gallons.

Yeah, just use the amount for 5 gallons toward the end of the boil as directed. It'll do it's thing just fine.
