My next brew will be my first IPA. The reviews of this kit most agree it isn't hoppy enough. If I were to get creative and add extra hops to the boil when in the boil should I add them?

It really depends on what the recipe is, and when the hops are added already. But in general, for hops flavor you add them with 15 minutes left in the boil and for aroma with 5 minutes or less left. I like flame out additions in an IPA.

I had great luck with the Brewer's Best IPA, but with a slight modification. I added an ounce of cascade on day three of fermenting, than on day 6 racked to secondary over an ounce of citra. Let sit for 2 weeks, bottle condition for 2 more weeks. The aroma and taste were most excellent. I'm going to brew up another batch in about 2 weeks. Hope this helps.
