I was wondering the other day, is there any sort of compendium of ingredients, such as grains, hops, and yeast available?

I don't know of one on the internet but I use Beersmith which has everything I need. A cool index of yeast strains is available at http://www.mrmalty.com/yeast.htm

I've seen the yeast ones, and i do have one on my phone for hops. What i'm really interested in is something that would tell you the flavor profile a certain malt would give a beer. Instead of having to just experiment with different malts.

Agreed that would be a great tool in creating recipes.
