Does anyone have a good recipe for infused booze? (Please, no bacon:cross:)

I have done cherries in brandy twice, it is fantastic. I just pit them and cover them with $20 brandy. In about two weeks the cherries are killer, in about 3 months, the brandy is very nice.

A vanilla bean can help mellow a rum somewhat and of course add vanilla flavor. Once when I was younger I got a hold of a food service size jar of maraschino cherries, dumped out the juice for other mixed drinks, and filled it up with vodka. Took forever to get through the cherries, but after some months, the vodka was beyond smooth and tasted very much like the cherry juice dumped out before. I'd do it all over again just to get the infused vodka and forget the cherries.

Maraschino cherries in Everclear. They taste like crap but will take the finish off of your buddies bar when you drop one. True story.
