    Hi all,

I was making the jump from kits to extract back in July, but made a mistake on my online order, and ordered crushed grains instead of extract (I really didn't know what I was ordering, obviously) So, I had to take a crash course in AG, and brew a beer with what I had. AG was so enjoyable, that I think I will skip extract all together! The beer has turned out quite well, considering I just threw ingredients that I had together, but I have no idea what it would be classified as.

So, if you can take a look at the following ingredients list, perhaps you can tell me what I am currently drinking :)

    4.5 lbs Light Wheat Malt
    4.5 lbs Dark Wheat Malt
    2.25 lbs Crystal Malt 30L
    1oz Hallertauer (60min)
    .5 oz Hallertauer (30 min)
    .5 oz Hallertauer (5 min)

    Is this perhaps a weizenbock?

I dont think there are enough fermentables in to make it a wizenbock. It looks to me to be a dunkelweizen.

Looks like it's right on the edge between a dunkelweizen and a weizenbock. Just a little bit bitter and strong for the dunkelweizen, and a bit mild for a weizenbock. That's all semantics if it tastes good!
