I forgot to mark of the 5 gallon mark on my carboy and may not have added enough top off water before pitching yeast. It's a BB Witbier and and I got a OG of 1.052 and didnt think much of it being high. after 1 week I checked FG and it is 1.012 for 5.25%abv kit says it should be 4.75%. Since I brewed this hoping my wife will like it ( she likes schafely hefe and Boulevard unfiltered wheat) I was wondering if its ok to add some water to bring the FG back down and if so how much should I add. If she tastes to much alcohol in it she probably wont like it.
BTW it smells great and tastes better than my english brown ale did warm and flat :)
    thanks for your help :mug:

No, don't add water at this point. A 5.2% wheat should still be nice and light and not have any alcohol taste.

I just made a 5.2% wit and it tastes great. Very light and the SWMBO loves it. I'd just leave it be.
