I am putting about 6 pounds of fruit in my secondary in a couple days. I used a blowoff tube for the first week of fermentation, but once the the yeast calmed down, I switched to my normal airlock. Will the sugar in the fruit sufficiently rile up the yeast enough to constitute putting the tube back on the carboy, or will I be fine with the airlock?

6 gallon carboy, using 6 pounds of blackberries that will be boiled down into a jam

Yes you will need a blow off. My opinion is buckets are better for adding fruit. Last batch i did in a carboy was only 3# of cherrys and it blew off for 3 days.

I recently did a Hefe with 3# of Blood Orange Puree, using WLP300. I had no blowoff during primary, but after racking to secondary with the puree, I had blowoff and had to replace the airlock with a blowoff tube. Better safe than sorry.
