I think I have messed up my starter of Wyeast1214. Made a starter two weeks ago. After I had no time to brew a week ago, I put it in the fridge. Took it out 12 hours prior to brewing last night. Pitched it around midnight and 12 hours later I have zero activity (last time I used the yeast, after 8 hours it nearly blew off the lid).

My local shop has only the equivalent White Labe 500. Am I going to mess up my pretty expensive tripel, if I pitch the WLP500, or should I order 1214online (though it will arrive probably after 3 days)?

I am worried my wort will go bad with dead yeast in it.

The yeast is just dormant. Put it in a warm corner and it will be bubbling in a within a day or two.

I went to a local shop and got some yeast nutrients. Going to hit my batch with that and see, if that wakes them up.

Still no action in the beer and I am getting bit nervous. This was an expensive grain bill to go bad.
