I was shooting for an English Old Ale / Bitter, and went a little heavy handed with my extract.

    Recipe went like this

    .25 lb honey malt
    .25 lb crystal 60
meant for 1.25 lb of pale dme, but had my bag split open and 2 lbs went in the boil pot.

I steeped the grains @155 for 30 minutes before adding dme

Boiled 60 min with .33 oz of 6AA Sterling hops.

    OG1.120 FG 1.030 (11.3%)
39.7 IBU if i remember correctly.

Ran like a normal batch, one week in primary, then one week in the bottle to carb. Beer is fantastic, with notes of citrus and banana. Cant wait to see what it's like when it ages a bit.

yeast was 1 package muntons dry ale yeast started with 2 tblsp of maple syrup
