How much does a starter increase yeastcell amount?

    Hi,
    I usually make a starter on 2liter and 200g DME. How much does it actually increase the yeastcell amound from a whyest smackpack?

    I plugged this into beersmith to give you an idea. Used wyeast 1056 as the yeast and a package date of today.

    Yeast cells without starter - 96 billion
    Yeast cells with 1l starter - 149 billion
    Yeast cells with 2l starter - 202 billion
