Something changed recently, and I am getting email updates on EVERY thread I have replied to. I tried to turn that off, but wasn't successful.

You will probably need to go into your account, subscribed threads, and turn off instant notification to each individual thread that appears.

I would like this to, I spend far too much time here, I don't need to dump a hundred Emails telling me what I already know.:D

    1. At the top of the forum, click the "My Account" link
    2. Click the "Subscribed Threads" link (this will put you on the page that has every thread you have posted to or subscribed to)
    3. At the right of the page, there is a column labeled "Notification" in this column is the type of notification you are using for each thread subscribed to (the values are Instant, Daily, Weekly, and None)
    4. Check each box in the Notification column of each thread you would like to change and using the scroll bar, scroll to the bottom of the page
    5. Change the "Selected Threads" drop down box to whatever value you want to receive email notifications for and click the "Go" button.

Holey CRAP! Like that was intuitive at all. I had to go through 4 pages of threads and set them all.

No, what about new ones? How do I NEVER get emails on threads?

In your user control panel, click "do not subscribe".

Click into the user control panel from the tool bar under "my account".

After you clean out your subscribed threads as above (this won't change the old ones, so do that as well), go into the "edit options" (about the third or fourth choice down from "settings and options"). In the third box, "default subscription mode", click "do not subscribe". You can also set it to "no email" if you still want to subscribe but not email you notifications.

Already had the No email notification. Found that on my first foray.

Not finding any do not subscribe option. I have three "new" subscriptions today because I replied to stuff. Sigh. I am My Account > Control Panel and looking at left nav.

After messing with settings multiple times and the problem not getting resolved, I set up an auto-delete rule in my email. There, that resolved it.

I don't change to many. I like receiving notifications of postings in some of the more interesting threads like Jester's epic home build -> http://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=378626

But there are others that I change immediately after posting. An example would be any of the giveaway threads...don't need a thousand emails showing who all posted "in".

My Account > Select "Subscribed Threads"
At the top of the list of subscribed threads> check mark the small gray box. This will select all the subscribed threads. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Select from the drop down menu > "No email notification"

You may have to do this for every page of subscribed threads.
