Im curious how those using a cpvc manifold were able to clean the inside after cutting the slits. Should i just drill holes instead?

I drilled holes. After sparging, simply take the mlt apart and rinse w/ water.

no im talking about before i even use it the first time, ive cut the slits and tried to clean the inside out with a long drill bit but it doesnt seem like i can get it clean enough for me to actually wanted to run my wort through it. if you drill holes how do you clean the debris out?

When I drilled holes, I looked for burs or rough spots. If I had one, I'd simply redrill that hole again.

Chainsaw file or any round file will work.

LOL. Mine is going on 8 years I think. I cleaned it with a file after I made it and never used anything but water since.

Everything that goes through the manifold gets boiled anyways, who cares if there's mouse turds in there or not.:D

I was pretty nervous about the plastic slivers in mine aswell. I used a bottle brush and a lot of hot water. Eventually I got it pretty cleared out. I was afraid of coming off with a plastic taste. None of that has made its way through in the beer.
