Wondering what everyone else does in this situation.

Wort is boiling just fine and I see the hop addition i just added begin to collect on the pot around the surface of the boiling water...so I push it back in the boiling wort and repeat 10 mins later. I try to control the boil as best I can but it often bubbles up really high (doesn't boil over).

My guess is that the hops should remain in the wort for as long as possible but would letting it collect on the pot help with clarity as well?

Just thinking out loud I guess...

Used to stir them back in. Lately, I've been using a hop bag. Makes for a cleaner kettle and wort transfer, and the hops stay in the wort until I remove the bag.

I just stir them back in. Otherwise I have used hop bags which I'll probably start doing again.

Aye, adding the hops loose in the kettle does seem to give'em a bit more edge, for lack of a better word. I just scrape'em back down into the boil where they belong at that point. I strain the chilled wort into the fermenter anyway...:mug:
