Just replenished my supply of rye malt so I thought I’d come up with a new recipe using one of my favorites.

I love the slight spice of rye malt and along with the sweetness of the honey malt and other specialties, this should be a nice complex beer.

A little magnum for some nice clean, spicy bittering, and then stream in a trio of my favorites every 5 minutes. Dry hop generously including bit of Crystal…and done.

Should be ready for a pool side party in June.

Your grain bill is similar to my rye pale ale. Looks like it is a very tasty brew. I need to do one nice and hoppy as most of them have been sessions.

Have you ever made this before?

    Not this exact grist.

Based off of my Kona recipe, but added rye, lighten the SRM a bit and of course a more continual hop schedule.

    Way out west in O'Fallon.

    Check out stlbrews.org.

It's the local club. Very active. Lots of activities. They're gearing up with 300 gallons of homebrew to serve at the St. Louis Heritage Beer Festival coming up. Check them out.
