Was given some homegrown Willamette hops. Thinking of brewing a Honey Nut Brown Ale. Thoughts?

This looks interesting, I have thought of adding a honey note to my nut brown ale. Get it brewed and let us hear how it turned out.

I ended up with 5.5 Gallons. OG was 1.055. Took a reading yesterday (1 week in primary) 1.014. I changed the 1 pound of White Wheat to .25 lb of flaked wheat and added .25lb of flaked oats. Tasted a sample and I still think I'd like a little more honey flavor. Any suggestions how to add the honey? Primary, secondary?

I ended up adding a 1/2 pound of honey to secondary for 1 week. Honey comes through nicely. If I make this again I would add more oats to give a little more body.

    Cheers
