    Quick Question:
I recently acquired a free rubbermaid 5 gal cooler to use as a HLT in the hopes of trying fly sparging. I installed a bulkhead valve and I am having trouble figuring out what type of hose to use to deliver the sparge water. I have been using standard 5/8" ID vinyl for the outlet of my MLT and just not letting it touch the hot wort as I drain into the kettle. If the sparge water is 185 degrees or more what type of hose should I be looking for? I've heard high temp and food safe silicone thrown around. If this is the answer where would be a good place to look?

I recommend silicone tubing; it's more expensive than vinyl but at least it doesn't contain plasticizers and bisphenol-A.

Midwestsupplies.com carries silicone tubing, but I order mine from Mcmaster.com
