I purchased a kit online and forgot the grain bag. D'oh! The LHBS closed 13 minutes ago. What can I use as a make shift bag? I'd like to brew tonight. I tried a cheese cloth but the holes were too large. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Are you doing a partial mash? I just do mine in a pot in the oven and then pour it through a strainer. You can dump it back into the pot to do a sort of batch sparge that way and run it back through the strainer.

If you can bring yourself to use them - the foot cut from an old pair of your SO's panty hose. Boil 'em first.

Paint strainers from HD work great. You could also use some nylon pantyhose, but the dye could leach out. Or you could go no bag, and just use a strainer like Cheshire said.
