Sweet Water Happy Endings is in the stores again! At $9.99 a six pack this 9% alcohol beer in a great value when compaired to Sam Adam's 8.1% Imperial Pilsner @ $9.99 for a 4 pack or any of a number of other high alcohol beers

Yikes, that's expensive! What type of beer is it? I tried their winter seasonal (a cpl months ago) and didn't care for it much but always like to try new beers. I'll keep an eye out for it when I head to the store next time.

Whole Foods on Ponce just had the liter flip top bottles on sale for $7.99 each. I picked up six. I had the beer last year on tap and liked it, but the one I've opened up so far from this year's batch blew me away. It is possibly the most well balanced Imperial Stout I've ever had. I like how they balance out the strong alchohol and maltiness with some in your face hops. The hops are much more prevalent than I remember.

It is their Russian Imperial Stout...

I just grabbed a 750ml the other day... Prolly stock up on a few more and let them sit til next year....

As for their Festive Ale.... Eh....

I agree on the festive ale. My brother got me a flip top of that for Christmas and I actually had trouble finishing it.

It is much like Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout from N. Coast Brewing but it's dry hopped so it has a more citrus taste and less bitterness. Plus at $9.99for a 4 pack of Old Rasputin or Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner a 6 pack of Sweet water at $9.99 seems like a deal to me.

I agree with Keelanfish that it's a very balanced brew.

I haven't seen the swing top bottles of Happy Endings just the Festive Ale I'll have to look for them that's not much beer I think it's a full liter the Festive Ale was but the bottles are worth $2.50 or so retail so that helps me justify the price.

but I like the festive ale too so. To each his own

No go at the Kroger near my house (E. Roswell), I'll walk across the street at work and check the Kroger out in Buckhead, they have a slightly better selection there.

I'm still looking for a store that carries Bridgeport IPA.

Tower liquor store on Piedmont near Lindberg has the Happy Ending for $8.99 a six pack. I still have some of last years batch, it is excellent now!

Kroger prolly won't have it... Check out Roswell Beverage, they may have it...

As far as Bridgeport IPA, I think Total Wine has it... I remember seeing cases of it somewhere...

Ah, Kroger finally got an order in between Friday and last night, grabbed a 6'er. I was sharing homebrew with a friend last night so didn't get a chance to try it. :mug:

EDIT: It was under $10 but not by much.

    Kroger has Happy Ending?

I'll have to stop by Green's on my way home tonight and
grab one. I was skeptical about happy ending but that's
    a good price.

    Good looks!

Here?, that's where CompUSA used to be! I'll do a drive by sometime, even though it's on my way home you know that exit can be a madhouse during rush hours.

I'm right around the corner from there. Haven't been in there yet, there's a relatively new store "Savvy Cellar" on Abernathy on the other side of Roswell, they've got pretty good prices. I don't think they even carry BMC, but they do have several DFH and lambics.

I work about a mile from Total Wine and it is HUGE. The prices are generally pretty good, but I can't help but feel like I do when I shop at Wal-Mart. The place is totally lacking in knowledgeble people and feels sterile and souless. While the beer selection is good, it can't match the unbelievable selection of Greene's on Ponce. It's just not a liquor store unless you are worried about getting shot.

+100 for Green's, but I go to the one on Buford Hwy

    Their singles selection is mindblowing
