I just made a nice little back up hydro tube with this toy ... it's called a bubble wand ... i think my wife picked up a couple of these at the dollar store even ... so I think you'd have one happy kid for a few days and a hydrometer tube when the bubbles are gone .. just cut the threded top off and BAM .. HYDRO TUBE :) ... it looks like it's going to use much less beer than my other tube does too ... in fact .. it fits right in my other tube, so I may just use the old tube as a stand and save beer ... just a thought for you all .. cheers !!

i cant seem to post a link to a pic  .. but just search bubble wand and you'll see one ... good luck

same design, but the ones I have are clear with little silver specs on them ... the hydro fits with just enough room to float .. pretty cool find. :fro:

btw ... I tried it out this morning on my patersbier and it worked like a charm ... just the right amout of space to float the hydro and a nice full drink of beer to sample taste

Clear with little silver specs may be a bit more manly, rather than the tinkerbell one...

    haha

OP thanks for the heads up! I almost stomped my tube the other day when I droped the hydrometer in and the bottom flew out!
