    Bought two 1 gallon glass jugs. Got some Nottingham ale yeast on hand. Gimmee some recipes to mess around with other than the standard cider or apfelwein recipes!

    ETA: I like the standard cider and apfelwein...it's just that I have 12 gallons of that bottled. :tank:

    Drunken Emu Hard Cider

    The recipe is for 5 gallons, so just divide the ingredients by 5 for your 1 gallon jug.

    1 gal apple juice
    1 lb brown sugar
    1 cinnamon stick

    Mix juice & sugar, add to primary with stick, pitch some notty and let 'er go. Cold crash in a month. Much more like party punch than apfelwine.. and it's what I survive on when my mead takes a while to age :)
