I've been wanting to run a subpanel out to the garage (only about 10 ft run from main) so I may just run some 4 or 6 gauge wire and use the new box as a subpanel there. Can't say I hadn't given the thought of returning it and saying its defective, because in all honestly it probably is. It's probably not been in operation for longer than a week total (majority of that time was when sous viding, mm can't wait to get back to that!)

Well I did what amounted to a 'technical tap' this morning...pulled the cable connectors back on both sides of RTD wires, opened up the CP to check all connections... everything looked good. Did a little wire tugging just to make sure there wasnt anything that knocked loose in the move.

And the PID is now reading temp at both of my thermocouples. Even tested the element to make sure it fired - everything looks good! (knock on wood brewstand)

If all goes as planned I'll do a dry (water) run tonight and brew tomorrow! Depending on time, I might even just run a batch through tonight with some old grain and hops I had leftover. That way if anything goes bad I'm not really out on material costs, just a little time.
