Get excited when liked?

Is it only me or do you get excited too when you login and see a red box with a number in it next to your name? I love that I said something someone liked.. not sure why. Simple mind simple pleasures I guess..

 

I like it as well, though I hope it doesn't get overused like it does in Facebook. I know some people that "like" every post that comes on their news feed.

 

Do you think I'd post anywhere near half of the stuff I post if I werent obsessed with seeing the red like number in the upper right??

At least it hasn't sunk to the Facebook lowness of being able to like your own posts.

 

I've wasted many a good post and have gotten NO likes in return. It seems you have to rant in order to get any attention around here.

Funny thing is, I just made this thread to see who else looks forward to getting likes. However, I'll take the likes I got from making this thread! haha.
